Do you want to make your language teaching more engaging and effective?
Are you a lecturer looking to refresh your teacher education workshops?
Are you a teacher planning cross-curricular lessons in a foreign language?
Are you a teacher of learners whose local language needs support or a new teacher figuring out how to combine subjects?
Then this workshop is for you!
Join two experienced international trainers from Holland and Italy and connect with educators from across Switzerland to explore ideas from all over Europe. In these two days of training you will:
- develop a repertoire of teaching and assessment ideas, methods and practices to be able to implement a Pluriliteracies approach, especially with students from multilingual backgrounds;
- learn how to support learners in deeper learning – the ability to transfer skills across disciplines and languages as well as support basic language and content knowledge;
- get hands-on experiences that will take you from the basics of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) to an understanding of deeper learning episodes through the Pluriliteracies models.
- come with your own ideas and leave with a whole new and enriched toolkit!
The working language of these two days is English, but the trainers speak multiple languages, so bring a colleague and work in any language you wish.
When: September 22 and 23, 2026
Where: Zurich University of Teacher Education (Lagerstrasse 2, 8090 Zurich)
